What happens wihen you mimic a genetic process in music? Here we treat the triplets of chords as triplets of bases in the codons in DNA. In a frameshift mutation an extra nucleotide is added or lost and so the 'frame' of the readout of the triplets is changed thereafter in the DNA sequence. We change the 'frame' for the chord triplets troughout the tune and this is how it turns out.
